Our first Formula 1 race was a new experience for us, although not our initial event or race. Over the years, I have acquired licenses for racing motorcycles and cars from various organizations such as WERA, CCS, NASA, EMRA, SCCA, IMG, and more. In addition, we have volunteered at International Aviation events for over a decade in both Florida and Wisconsin. The food vending could have been improved, lacking capacity and not accepting Credit Cards, causing inconvenience for attendees without cash. The shuttle buses provided transportation from Downtown and the Expo center, but they dropped off attendees at a dusty field a mile from the track. Many older guests struggled in the heat and poor air quality while trekking uphill to the track, with no shaded resting spots along the way. I observed other shuttle buses stopping closer to the facility gates than the one we took. Despite the location being recommended, the uncomfortable seats were a downside. The cramped seating arrangement made it challenging for people to move past each other, posing a potential safety hazard due to the narrow rows.
